The Bothy is located within the grounds of the 40 acre Highland estate of Craggantoul with rolling meadows, orchards, duck pond, ancient oak forest with winding trails down to Loch Tay, where we have fishing rights for trout.

The Bothy Cottage

The Bothy is a cosy and romantic retreat with private hot tub and sensational views over Loch Tay and the surrounding meadows and woodlands.  
The large double ensuite bedroom has a high backed mahogany king sized sled bed with luxurious memory support mattress for ultimate comfort.  The spacious ensuite bathroom is equipped with a double ended cast iron roll top bath to sink into after a day in the hills and a large walk in shower. The Bothy has a modern and fully equipped kitchen and the living area has a roaring wood burning stove to keep guests warm and toasty throughout the year.  
The Bothy is equipped with flat screen TVs in the bedroom and living room, DVD player and a selection of DVDs, Wifi and Hifi with bluetooth connectivity.
Outside is the bubbling hot tub which is operational all year round, as well as a private BBQ area with garden furniture where guests can enjoy the lovely views.

Located on the shores of Loch Tay the Bothy Cottage is well placed to explore all the landmarks of Loch Tay and beyond.


I booked The Bothy as a surprise weekend away for my partners birthday and it didn’t disappoint. It’s in a stunning location near Loch Tay with wonderful views everywhere you look. Even though there are other cottages nearby we would never know as The Bothy feels very private and secluded. The property itself is very spacious and well equipped with all the facilities you need for a weekend away. I stayed in The Bothy for 4 nights, 2 of these on my own before being joined by a friend. It is a lovely little house spotlessly clean and very modern and luxurious. The hot tub is an added bonus and one enjoyed very much, especially after bagging a Munro to help ease the legs. There is so much to do and see in the area as not far from some great hill walks and towns like Killin and Aberfeldy.

The cottage was lovely, with a great view of Loch Tay and the hills beyond. Everything was very clean, with stylish decoration, and a kitchen with a washing machine and dishwasher. It's in a block of 8 or 9 properties, but they are dotted around with gardens between them, so it still feels quiet and private. The hot tub was excellent and the towel robes provided was a really nice touch. Walking down to the waterside takes about 20 minutes - a lovely walk, but you'll need walking boots.
